About
The GAP for EPR is an international partnership between GIZ, OECD, UNEP and WWF, hosted by the PREVENT Waste Alliance. Their mission is to advance Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) globally — connecting governments, NGOs, and industry practitioners to share knowledge, build policy, and tackle plastic and packaging waste at scale.

The brief was to create a digital home for this partnership: a platform that feels credible and accessible to an international audience, while handling a range of content types — resources, events, community spaces, and a technical helpdesk.

Scope

Design & Frontend Development

Custom WordPress theme built from scratch

WHAT I BUILT

The design started from the partnership's existing brand guidelines and the need to present multiple heavyweight institutional partners (GIZ, OECD, UNEP, WWF) without any single identity dominating. The visual language had to feel neutral, professional and internationally legible.

Wireframes and mockups were developed in Figma before moving into development. The custom WordPress theme was built to give the client full editorial control over content without touching code — important for a team spread across multiple organisations and time zones.
